Sticks & Bones
One day while walking in the woods, Allison Douglas-Tourner came across a raven harvesting sticks for his nest, dropping them into a pile to use later, along with a few small bones. The experience became a poem.
Gathered here is a collection of “sticks and bones” from moments in the poet’s life, each
giving the imagination room to breathe—for that is the true magic of haiku.
